Each Board or Commission generally meets once a month or quarterly on various days and in a variety of Monterey County locations. A full description of each Board or Committee, which includes exact days and times the committee meets, can be found on the Monterey County website.

This position can be for consumers, parents, spouses, siblings, or adult children of individuals who are receiving or have received mental health services (Consumer Interest). The Commission reviews and evaluates the County’s mental health needs, services, and facilities. You are not required to live in the district.
Mental Health COMMISSION

Responsible for making recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on issues affecting legislation and policies pertinent to women in Monterey County.
Commission on the Status of Women
To make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors relative to the promotion and preservation of historical sites and artifacts in Monterey County.
Monterey County Historical Advisory Commission
Advise and makes suggestions or recommendations to various county departments.
Housing Advisory Committee
Assist with addressing water quality issues facing district and address residents’ concerns and issues.
San Ardo Water District
Maintains cemeteries and provides standard cemetery services, including the acquisition of land for the district, maintenance and grounds keeping
San Lucas Cemetery District
The Fire Protection District is to provide local control over budgets and policy matters, with a greater accountability to the taxpayers.
